We have had our amazing rescue dog Lola for 5 years. She was found as a stray and they thought she was about a year old, it was clear that from being on the streets she was shy and very cautious. Lola had such a concerned expression on her mug when I saw her at the shelter and I just couldn’t shake her from my mind, we had a connection. I returned the next day and took her for a short walk, which nobody had been able to do during her stay at the shelter. I some how knew she was the one for us, called my husband and said he had to come meet her the next day when he was off. We got so lucky when we adopted Lola, she truly makes us so happy, she is just like us, loves being active and exploring San Francisco. Her wiggle is the best after a long day and her expressive face catches lots of attention. We often plan our weekends around taking Lola out…sometimes for a hike, trek around Fort Funston…or simply making sure if we are going for brunch or a drink that we go to one of our favorite dog friendly spots. We are officially the people that take their dog everywhere, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! We love this little nugget so much and we’re grateful everyday that she came in to our lives.
